Travellers who have sailed on Ayeyarwaddy River say that the cruise is unlike any other they have experienced. The images remain in the mind forever: saffron-clad monks and golden spires, cities of temples with traffic of ox-carts, the graceful flight of heron against forests of dark bamboo; and friendly people, waiting to make your acquaintance. No photograph, no description on earth prepares for Myanmar’s dramatic landscapes.

RV EMPRESS MANISANDAR (STEAM PADDLER FROM 1940S) Being a long-obsolete technology, the few paddle steamers still operating are deliberate anachronisms, preserved as museums. Some paddle steamers still operate on the Missisipi River, as do a couple in the United Kingdom. Paddle Steamer “Empress Manisandar” began her life in the name of Minthamee (means Princess) when delivered to Myanmar, then called Burma from her builder, Yarrow of Glasgow in Scotland, one of six arriving in the 1940s. All RV-Min Kyan Sit built of teak & well funished with traditional handicrafts are at service for unique cruised along scenic rivers.

RV-Min Kyan Sit 01, which contains 16 single beds attached with 2 common bathrooms & toilets, is very convenient for overnight cruise & it has the passenger carriage capacity of 60 for day return trip.

RV-Min Kyan Sit 02, is designed only for day return trip and passenger carriage capacity of 10.

RV-Min Kyan Sit 03, includes 10 single beds attached with one common bathroom & one toilet, it can carry maximum 35 passengers for short excursion.

RV-Min Kyan Sit 04, will have seat capacity of 100 & you can enjoy it for romantic sunset cruise in Bagan together with appetizing Myanmar Traditional cuisines for Dinner, traditional dances and Marionette.

RV-Min Kyan Sit 05, will have 14 cabins, 1 honeymooner cabin, 5 common toilets & 4 common bathrooms with double decks.


ROAD TO MANDALAY The luxury river cruise ship has been created by Venice-Simplon-Orient-Express from the former MS Nederland. Since 1995 this totally refurbished ship sails between Mandalay and Bagan. The ship has a swimming pool, a large sun deck, a spacious observation lounge with large windows in addition to the excellent cabin facilities, a restaurant able to accommodate all passengers in one sitting and satellite communications. Consultant designers were appointed to devise new internal and external decorative schemes in sympathy with the vessels new role and the “Orient-Express” brand. The Road to Mandalay can accommodate a maximum of 118 passengers in 3 different cabin types. All cabins are fully air-conditioned and have en suite shower and WC facilities. Each cabin has a personal safe, telephone and satellite TV with in-house video. Sockets are suitable for 2-pin round plugs (220 volts). Hair dryers are available in each cabin.
RV PANDAW 1947 (AYRAVATA CRUISE) RV Pandaw was powered by a stern paddle, now replaced by modern engines. Conserving many original features, the confortable cabins are added, with air-con and en suite shower rooms. There is a spacious observation lounge in the force and dinning room aft. An open observation deck extends aft of the flying bridge. Finished in local hardwoods, and furniture with period pieces, the Pandaw will house the collection of historic prints and antiques. Promenade decks enable passengers to sit outside their cabins. The intension has been to recreate the atmosphere and character of the first classic river steamer. There are 16 deluxe cabins with own shower.
